This study included 41 patients followed by the Bone Metabolism Clinics of the “Irmandade da Santa Casa de Misericórdia” of São Paulo (ISCMSP) with the clinical diagnosis of XLH, from 1971 to 2018. Informed consent for genetic testing was obtained from the patients or parents, and the requirement for written informed consent was waived due to the anonymous and retrospective nature of the study. This investigation was approved by the local Research Ethics Committee (protocol #02067418.5.0000.5479, assent CEP3.225.914) and complied with the Resolution 466/2012 of the Brazilian National Health Council.
