Experimental data for the article titled "Transducing chemical energy through catalysis by an artificial molecular motor" by Wang et al. This work describes the catalysis-driven contraction of a macroscopic polymer gel due to the directional rotation of an embedded artificial molecular motor. Includes data for gel contraction, NMR spectroscopy, HPLC, mass spectrometry and tensile tests. Please contact the corresponding authors if you require anything else.
