Description

We deployed a network of 23 particulate matter sensors in a predetermined grid and at different heights around an operating room (OR) table to monitor the aerosol dispersion and elimination process. Sodium chloride (NaCl) particles were nebulized using a medical nebulizer as tracing particles. The 3-D animations show the two tests conducted with the nebulization process followed by the dispersion. The dots represent the sensor locations, with the aerosol concentration represented by the color scale.
