Fab Labs in Brazil: A Study on Receipts, Costs and Available Informations
Description
Fab Lab is a digital fabrication lab, whose idea has born as a proposal for increasing the availability of advanced, prototipying, innovation and inventions, integrating these characteristics with a global community that envises to share its knowledge and creativity. This global community of Fab Labs tries to promote the DIY (Do It Yourself) culture and the maker cultura, at the same time in which it democratizes the access to advanced machinery and tools, trainings and learnship, to develop the people's creation and self-expression capacities. This study, then, is part of a workpaper (Brazilian Portuguese only, for now), with the goal of highlighting some of the major projects in Brazil today, as a tool for other fellow researchers and entrepreneurs that wants to take part of the Fab Lab community as an investor, learner, teacher, instructor or maker.
