Description

The data collection was mainly from the following authentic sources: Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), Bangladesh; Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Bangladesh; Directorate general of health services, under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Bangladesh. Few data had to be collected and verified by national newspapers and video conferences by IEDCR. In the beginning period of Covid-19 escalation, the health ministry of Bangladesh didn’t collect or disclose diverse kinds of data so all the features were not available. Later, as the number of infected cases increased, the diversity in data increased too and it was labeled for better reporting and representation. IEDCR publishes daily situation reports in a pdf format file and describes the scenario of the last 24 hours. We collected the better part of our dataset from these pdf files. Our dataset compiles all the information disclosed by the government in csv files. The dataset comprises several files. One file contains the number of confirmed cases and deaths of eight(8) divisions in Bangladesh from 15th April 2020 till the latest. As the previous data of these divisions were not available to us.
