Description

The dataset contains information on the physical, biochemical, chemical composition, current use, and annual generation of crop residues, primary forestry residues, pruning residues, manure, green/garden waste, sewage sludge, household biowaste, and agroindustrial residues. Detailed information on each document is provided below: 1. Characterization of french residual biomasses The dataset contains several assumptions about the composition of the abovementioned residues, which are further detailed in the supplied documents. The characterization of forestry residues (CamPFR) is calculated based on a weighted average of different forest types in France. The characterization of crop residues (collectively called as CamCR for the Cambioscop project) is calculated based on the weighted averages of the distribution of the selected crop residues in France. The sources of all composition values are provided in the document. 2. Current use of french residual biomasses The dataset on current use was estimated based on literature surveys, NIR reports, and expert options-guided assumptions. The sources are provided in the document. 3. Generated amount and spatial quantification The data for crop residues and primary forestry residues were estimated using functional equations and spatial modelling frameworks respectively. The data for all other streams were obtained from national reports.
