Multi-omics comparisons emphasize alterations in tryptophan metabolism in yaks with retained placenta: perspectives on feces, serum, placenta and colostrum homeostasis
Description
This dataset contains the raw data and associated supplementary files from a multi-omics study investigating the molecular characteristics of retained placenta in high-altitude yaks. Twelve postpartum yaks were classified into a normally released placenta group (RL, n = 6) and a retained placenta group (RT, n = 6), according to whether placental expulsion occurred within or beyond 12 h after parturition. The present dataset includes raw data from the serum metabolome, colostrum metabolome, and milk fat globule membrane (MFGM) proteome analyses. These datasets were generated to characterize systemic metabolic alterations and changes in colostrum composition and MFGM-associated proteins related to retained placenta. The supplementary files associated with the corresponding manuscript are also included in this dataset. Because of the large volume of the placental proteomics data, the raw placental proteome files were deposited separately and divided into two companion sub-datasets. These placental proteome sub-datasets can be accessed through the links provided below and should be considered integral components of the complete multi-omics study. Together with the separately deposited placental proteome data, the datasets support an integrated analysis of RT-associated metabolic, inflammatory, immune, and lactational alterations. Particular attention was given to coordinated changes in tryptophan metabolism across maternal serum, placental tissue, and colostrum, as well as their associations with immune-related proteins, lipid metabolism, autophagy regulation, and MFGM structural remodeling.
