Description

Transactional data collected from a quickserve sandwich chain over a one year period provides an opportunity to study market and food cost factors impacting sales and sales forecasting. The dates of the data ranges from April 2012 to March 2013. The receipts table contains over 575,000 rows which represent an individual menu item in one store for one receipt during each day of the one- year period. Recipe data was collected to attribute food cost to menu items for each of the 10 stores. Secondary data regarding hourly weather patterns were collected from NOAA Climatic Data Center. The hourly weather data can be used in conjunction with Sandwich Analytics Part I (https://data.mendeley.com/datasets/6htjnfs78b/1) which houses additional data including: County Crime, Employment, Census data, Sales and Rent.
