Data for: The spatial production of simulacrascape in urban China: economic function, local identity and cultural authenticity
Description
Following the paradigm of architectural anthropology, we have collected abundant qualitative data including interview data, urban policy documents and online media data through interview, participative observation in fieldworks as well as web-crawling technique; then these data have been processed by discourse analysis. The qualitative data contain three parts: 1) First-hand data acquired by semi-structural interviews and participative observations in fieldwork. Please be noted that our first-hand qualitative data obtained by interviews are confidential and cannot be disclosed due to the non-disclosure agreement. We will disclose the guideline of interview. 2) Second-hand data including 11 local urban policies and planning documents (3 of them are internal document); 3) Online media data acquired by web-crawling technique form major Chinese online media platforms, including both official and private media coverage.
