Description

12 pregnant female rats and their male newborns were used. Male rats were were subjected to 2.45GHz MW radiation varying electric field as; 0.6 V/m (n:12), 1.9 V/m (n:10), 5 V/m (n:12), 10 V/m (n:12), and 15 V/m (n:12) for a total of 66 days during the 21-day gestation period and 45 days after birth. Control group rats (n:14) were not exposed to an electrical field. Following the removal of cochleas, the histochemical examination was conducted by Caspase-3, Caspase-9, and TUNEL methods. Multiple analysis of variance (MANOVA) was used in comparing groups.
