Small subunit ribosomal RNA gene data on Entamoeba and Blastocystis detected in muskox and sheep sampled in various regions in Greenland. The data were generated, analysed, and interpreted by CR Stensvold, RPKD Berg, JG Maloney, A Molokin, and M Santin, and published in International Journal for Parasitology in 2023.

Steps to reproduce
The data were generated based on amplicon-based next-generation sequencing of genomic DNA from faecal samples from animal hosts. DNA sequence data were annotated to genus/species level as applicable using the in-house software BION. Identification of subtypes, ribosomal lineages, and sequence types was done manually using publically available online MSA software.
