Description

We present whole-rock major and trace element, and Sr–Nd isotopic data, as well as zircon U–Pb ages and Hf–O isotopic data, to constrain the age and origin of these rocks. Combined with the available geochemical and geochronological data from the eastern NCC, we evaluate the petrogenesis of the intrusive rocks of Liaodong Peninsula, propose a geodynamic model for the Early Mesozoic tectonic evolution of the peninsula, and relate the tectonic evolution to lithospheric thinning in the North China Craton.
