Description

Data was collected to assess prevalence of depression and associated factors among elderly population (60 or above years) in Moshi District Council, northern Tanzania. Depression was measured using the Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS-15). Prevalence of depression was estimated to be 44.4% and was associated with cognitive impairment and availability of social support.
