Description

Diets with balanced essential amino acid (EAA) proportions improve the feed utilization and reduce the high nitrogen excretion by the animal, minimizing the environmental impacts on the production and increase the profitability of the aquaculture production systems. The deletion method allows the establishment of an ideal relationship among the EAA in a single experiment by using the same diet, environment and fish lot, resulting in a greater uniformity and data consistency. In addition to determining the ideal profile of essential amino acids for pacu, this study may help to consolidate and further improve the deletion method using different aquatic species.
