Description

This data set contains behavioural scores for treehoppers responding to electrostatic fields, electrostatic charge measurements of 11 species of treehopper, 2 species of wasp, and 2 species of stingless bee, and laser Doppler vibrometry responses of treehopper setae to electric fields. Information on the methodology and interpretations of this data can be found in the associated publication England et al. (2025) - "Electroreception in treehoppers: how extreme morphologies can increase electrical sensitivity".
