Description

This dataset comprises supplementary material for the systematic review titled "Efficacy and Safety of Withania somnifera (Indian Ginseng) in Rheumatoid Arthritis: A Systematic Review of Evidence from Experimental Studies to Clinical Trials." The dataset includes detailed quality (risk of bias) assessments of selected studies in the review and descriptions of the clinical and pre-clinical studies evaluating the effect of W. somnifera in poly-herbal formulations in rheumatoid arthritis. Specifically, it contains: Table S1a: Sources of risk of bias in randomized controlled trials, providing insights into potential biases that could affect the validity of these studies. Table S1b: Sources of risk of bias in case series, highlighting factors that may impact the reliability of findings from the observational study. Table S1c: Sources of risk of bias in animal studies, detailing the methodological quality and potential biases in pre-clinical research. Table S2a: Clinical studies of W. somnifera in combination with other interventions (polytherapy), summarizing the therapeutic regimens, patient populations, and key findings. Table S2b: Pre-clinical studies involving W. somnifera in combination with other interventions (polytherapy), outlining the study designs, interventions, and outcomes. The dataset is intended to enhance transparency and reproducibility in the assessment of efficacy and safety of W. somnifera in rheumatoid arthritis treatment.
