Description

This dataset provides a mechano-structural characterization of arterial extracellular matrix (ECM) changes in pulmonary arterial hypertension. It is organized into two main folders: AFM Measurement Data – This folder contains atomic force microscopy (AFM) data assessing arterial stiffness in the pulmonary artery. It includes multiple subfolders, each corresponding to separate measurements from all layers of pulmonary artery and aorta in different animals. Imaging Data – This folder contains second harmonic generation (SHG) and two-photon fluorescence excitation images of arteries, highlighting their two major fibrillar ECM components—collagen and elastin. In the filenames: "PA" and "AR" refer to the main pulmonary artery and aorta, respectively. "I", "M1", "M2", and "A" denote different arterial layers: intimal, medial 1, medial 2, and adventitial layers, respectively.
