Description

The data contains a long-form summary of the number of cars, average age, and average CO2 emissions per km for each year broken down by year, fuel type, and Lower Super Output Area (LSOA). The data covers the years 2001 to 2018 and all LSOAs in England and Wales and Data Zones in Scotland. Columns year - integer (2001 - 2018) LSOA - 2011 LSOA Code (England and Wales) or 2011 Data Zone Code (Scotland) or zBetween Keepers or zUnknown or M99999999 (Isle of Mann) fuel - fuel type (DIESEL, PETROL, HYBRID ELECTRIC, OTHER, ELECTRIC DIESEL) AllCars - integer, count of the number of cars (values less than 4 repalced with NA) AvgCO2 - average grammes of CO2 emissions per km AveAge - average age in years

Steps to reproduce

This dataset has been reproduced with the permission of the UK Department of Transport. To protect privacy any values less than four have been replaced with an NA. The data is derived from the DVLA database based on the location of the registered keeper of the vehicle and so may not reflect the true overnight location of every vehicle.
