This is the data that was used for the measurement of the shear moduli for PLA and ULTEM 9085. PLA produced more reliable data so required fewer samples.

Steps to reproduce

To measure the shear moduli, follow the procedure below. It was done in MATLAB but other tools can be used, such as python. The data is organized by shear modulus. 1. For each sample (following the procedure from ASTM standard 5379): a) Stress (measured using testing machine) - extract the "Stress" column from the relevant .csv file b) Strain (obtained using DIC from video recordings of testing) - add the "Surface component 1.avg(epsX) [True strain]" column to the "Surface component 1.avg(epsY) [True strain]" column to create the strain data c) Plot the stress against the strain d) Measure the slope of the linear part of the plot, this is the shear modulus for one sample 2. Take the average of all samples for a particular shear modulus, such as G13 for PLA, and the standard deviation, giving the shear modulus and the error.
