Description

In this experiment we evaluated the effect of adding a dietary supplement (Gammulin) to the liquid feed of calves from 1 to 24 d of age on pre-weaning growth and health and first lactation performance. Although during the supplementation period calves fed Gammulin had fewer days with profuse diarrhea, these calves had lower starter intake from 25 to 60 d of age and body weight at 60 d of age. The supplementation with Gammulin did not affect first lactation performance.
