e searched Web of Science (WoS) and CNKI for studies on the valuation of urban wetlands in China, using keyword combinations covering location, ecosystem services, and valuation. The WoS search string was: TS= (("wetland" NEAR/2 ("city" OR "urban" OR "park")) AND (“eco-service” OR “ecosystem service” OR “eco-system service” OR “ecological product” OR “ecological service”) AND ("valu*" OR "assess*" OR “evaluat*”) AND ("China" OR "Chinese")). The initial search yielded 695 records, which were screened using a two-stage process based on predefined eligibility criteria. In the first stage, abstracts were reviewed to exclude studies that (1) did not focus on urban wetlands, (2) were conducted outside China, or (3) did not involve UWES valuation. In the second stage, full texts of the remaining records were examined. Screening at each stage was conducted independently by two reviewers, with disagreements resolved by consensus, resulting in 121 eligible studies. Following full-text assessment, 51 studies were ultimately included in the meta-analysis, from which 644 value observations were extracted; most of these studies were published after 2010. For each study, we compiled a standardized set of variables, including publication information, study location, wetland area, valuation method, ecosystem service type, and value estimates. Additional socioeconomic, environmental, and urban characteristic variables were further matched for the meta-regression analysis.
