Argyreia siamensis pollination data (Jirabanjongjit et al.)
Description
Pollination and floral biology of a rare morning glory species endemic to Thailand, Argyreia siamensis Awapa Jirabanjongjit, Paweena Traiperm, Tomoki Sando, & Alyssa B. Stewart The pollination ecology of Argyreia siamensis (Craib) Staples (Convolvulaceae) was examined at two populations in Thailand. Two data sets were used when analyzing the results of this study (see attached); descriptions of the data sets are provided below. Pollination Experiment Data - Population: the plant population where the data was collected (western = Ratchaburi province, eastern = Nakhon Ratchasima province) - Plant_ID: the label of the plant individual - Treatment: the experimental treatment used (treatment names are the same as those used in "Pollination and floral biology of a rare morning glory species endemic to Thailand, Argyreia siamensis") - Fruit_Weight: weight (in grams) of the mature fruit collected at the end of the pollination experiment - Seed_Weight: weight per seed (in grams) of the seeds removed from the mature fruit collected at the end of the pollination experiment - Ovary_Diameter: diameter (in centimeters) of the developing ovary (did not develop into mature fruit due to heavy rains) - Notes: indicates which fruits were lost before we could collect them Floral Visitor Data - Population: the plant population where the data was collected (western = Ratchaburi province, eastern = Nakhon Ratchasima province) - Date: date that the floral visitor was observed - Plant_ID: the label of the plant individual - Taxa: name of floral visitor - Nvisits: how many times the floral visitor was observed at flowers - Hours: total number of hours filmed - VisitationRate: number of visits per hour
