Title of program: CCFUS Catalogue Id: AATM_v1_0 Nature of problem There are strong enhancements of the fusion rates in low-energy heavy ion collisions due to the couplings to other reaction channels. These couplings also modulate the distribution of angular momentum absorbed by the composite system at energies near the Coulomb barrier. The angular momentum distributions in turn are essential for describing the decay of the compound nuclei.
