Steps to reproduce
The data were collected in two steps, as part of a larger study of email communication between students and professors. First, a professor rated the student's email he/she received using an online assessment form. Then, the student received an invitation email to participate in the study, which included a unique code, a consent form, and a guarantee that the survey was anonymous and completely voluntary. The student was instructed to complete an online questionnaire. After the data collection phase (in 2018/19 and 2019/20 academic years), data from student responses were merged with professors’ analysis of student emails. Data were anonymized prior to analyses. The students received no incentives for participating in the study. To test the three research questions, we used a t-test for independent samples and chi-square test.
