Dataset for Electrical Capacitance Sensors (ECS) Combined for Detecting the Fatigue Damage in CFRP Composite Pipeline
Description
A number of electrical capacitance sensors (ECS) measurements and frequency analysis datasets for fatigue damage in Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) composite pipeline systems are summarized and reduced data are provided. The ECS measurements goal was to evaluate the damage for ten cases by monitoring the variance of capacitance datasets results from ECS distributed around the pipeline subjected to fatigue effect due to it is loaded with static and transient external excitations. The frequency analysis of ECS datasets results is applied to the “open loop” pipeline system, and the brief of analysis datasets of fatigue damage evolves covering electrode pairs are presented in this data article. The provided dataset includes pipeline geometric and material descriptions and output from 66 measurements. Sample measurements are described and results summarized and presented.
