Work-Family Conflict and Work-Life Balance among Physicians Working in a Tertiary Hospital
Description
A descriptive type of cross-sectional study was conducted from January to December 2022. The sample size was 187 and the data were collected from the physicians working in Sheikh Russel National Gastroliver Institute & Hospital (SRNGIH), Mohakhali, Dhaka, Bangladesh, where convenience sampling technique was done. Data were collected by face-to -face interview from the physicians by using a pre-tested, semi-structured questionnaire where two scales were used named- Construction and initial validation of a multidimensional measure of work-family conflict (Carlson, D.S.,2000), and Psychometric Assessment of an Instrument Designed to Measure Work Life Balance (Hayman, J.2005). Independent sample t-test, ANOVA and chi square tests were done for analysis.

Steps to reproduce
Data analysis was done by computer with the help of “Statistical Package for Social Science” (SPSS Software, Version 26.0). Descriptive statics like frequency, distribution, mean, median, mode, range, standard deviation etc. were calculated by SPSS program. For inferential statistics, Chi-square test (x2) was done to find out association between WFC AND WLB. Two scales were used namedConstruction and initial validation of a multidimensional measure of work-family conflict (Carlson, D.S.,2000), and Psychometric Assessment of an Instrument Designed to Measure Work Life Balance (Hayman, J.2005) was done. Independent sample t-test and ANOVA test were done for analysis.
