Description

The CFD modeling study was conducted in order to asses the performance of double corrugated tubes in a tube-in-shell heat exchanger. The study was carried out using COMSOL Multiphysics Conjugated Heat transfer Module with k-epsilon turbulence model. The related raw data is provided in .txt file format. The data is sorted according to the type of analyzed geometry. The input parameters and the numerical results are clearly described in the data sets in folder "HeatTransfer". The data sets in folder "Flow" contains simulation results on the fluid flow velocity and pressure drop across the analyzed heat exchangers at given coordinates. The CFD results were analyzed using MATLAB software. The epsilon-NTU method was used in order to evaluate the performance of heat exchnager equipped with double corrugated tubes and compare to that of one equipped with straight tubes.
