Ca/Al ratio in sediments from the Santa Catarina Plateau and the Ioffe Drift

Description

The dataset includes results of downcore Ca/Al ratio measurements in sediments from the Santa Catarina Plateau, Rio Grande Rise and the Ioffe Drift. Cores AI-3316-3321 and AI-3655 were studied using the Geotek MSCL-XYZ core workstation (with Geotek XRF-spectrometer, Rh anode, 10kV (70 μA) with no filters, 40kV (95 μA) with 125um Ag-filter, He-flushed cell, spot size: 15x10 mm, step: 1 cm, Chemplex Prolene 416 film - 4.0μm). The rest of the cores were analyzed using the Olympus Vanta C portable XRF-spectrometer (Ag anode, geochem(2) mode; 10 kV (131 μA), 40 kV (87 μA), step: 2 cm, Mylar film - 6 μm).
