Description

The raw data table shows overall course grades for two groups of students (the “traditional wet-lab” group and the “non-traditional online lab” group) enrolled in Human Anatomy and Physiology II courses during one academic year. Additionally, summed student scores on Human Anatomy and Physiology II lecture exams and lab exams administered over the course of the semester are given. Overall course grades of these students in Human Anatomy and Physiology I during the previous semester are also included. Last, student scores on a standardized exam used as a HAPS (Human Anatomy and Physiology Society )pre-test / post-test (administered at the beginning of the academic year in August, and again at the end of the academic year in May) are given. The values in the table are scores earned by individual students, expressed as points.

The exam scores were collected over two semesters while students were taking Anatomy and Physiology from two campuses in one university. Due to resources availability, one campus's lab was in person (wet lab) and the other was online (or dry lab). The content of the course was taught by the same instructor on both campuses.
