Description

This dataset contains the raw filament-diameter measurements and corresponding summary statistics for porous tantalum scaffolds fabricated by direct ink writing (DIW). Seven processing conditions were investigated, including four nozzle travel speeds of 10, 15, 20, and 25 mm s⁻¹ at a constant piston feed rate, and three piston feed rates of 0.3, 0.4, and 0.5 mm min⁻¹ at a constant nozzle travel speed. Ten filament-diameter measurements were collected for each condition (n = 10). The dataset includes the individual measured values, arithmetic means, and sample standard deviations. All filament diameters are reported in micrometres (μm). These data support the analysis of the effects of nozzle travel speed and piston feed rate on the filament geometry of direct ink written porous tantalum scaffolds.
