Indonesian education faces the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century and society 5.0 era, and on the other hand, the learning crisis and Covid 19 have resulted in education being increasingly left behind with the loss of learning (learning loss) which has resulted in an increase in the learning gap between regions and socio-economic groups. To restore learning, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) launched the Fifteenth Episode of Merdeka Belajar: Merdeka Curriculum and Merdeka Mengajar Platform.

Steps to reproduce

This study uses a qualitative method that is carried out with several approaches to explore the understanding, implementation, and impact of the Kurikulum Merdeka. Focusing on several schools that implement the Kurikulum Merdeka or schools that implement the School Mover Program. Data collection is carried out through observation, interviews with principals, teachers and students, and analysis of curriculum documents and learning materials. Holding group discussions with principals, teachers and students to get different perspectives on the Kurikulum Merdeka.
