Description

Data results from the live demo performed within the framework of the ChEESE project (www.cheese-coe.eu) and in coordination with the Spanish National Geographic Institute (IGN) which consisted in the simulations of 135 scenarios for tsunamis generated by earthquake in the Gulf of Cadiz with impact in the Western Iberian Peninsula and the Canary Islands. These data were obtained using Tsunami-HySEA (https://edanya.uma.es/hysea/index.php/models/tsunami-hysea) and the numerical simulations were carried out using High Performance Computing resources from CINECA (https://www.hpc.cineca.it). Data description: - list_of_events.txt contains the list of the 135 selected scenarios to be simulated based on the variability of some of the Okada parameters that define the earthquake. - bathymetry folder contains .GRD files used as input bathymetry (4 different domains and 3 different resolutions) - simulations_* folders contain the NETCDF output files resulting from the 135 simulations for each computational domain. These *_ts.nc files store the maximum height for each point of interest and for each simulated event. And also, wave height at each forecast point (FCPs) is calculated, saving data every 15 seconds and during the simulation time (4 hours). - TS folder contains the longitud and latitude coordinates of each FCP and for each resolution domain labeled by target areas defined by IGN.
