Description
A questionnaire which contained two parts was designed. Content and face validation were done on the questionnaire by experts in that area to ascertain that the tool would measure what it was designed for. Random sampling method was used to select 300 participants from a population size of 1790 secondary school teachers in AMAC. The first part of the questionnaire was used to obtain respondents’ demographic data as shown in Table 1 and the second part was used to understand the relationship between IT and standard of education in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC). A response rate of 100% was gotten after the questionnaires were distributed by the researchers in various schools chosen for the study. The internal consistency of the tool yielded a Cronbach alpha value of 0.84 which indicated that the tool has a relatively high reliability. The questionnaire contained two parts, the first section was used to capture the bio-data while the second section was used to assess the level of contribution that the use of IT had towards the achievement of Educational goals and objectives. The questionnaire was used to ascertain the contribution of IT to effective teaching and to evaluate the relationship between IT usage in teaching and standard of Education.
