Description

The Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP) Site U1490 is located on the northern edge of the Eauripik Rise at 05º48.95’ N, 142º39.27’ E and 2,341 m water depth. This age model was obtained by comparing the Cibicidoides wuellerstorfi δ18O (VPDB, Vienna Pee Dee Belemnite) curve and the standard LR04 stack (Lisiecki and Raymo, 2005), with additional constraints (red diamonds) based on the Brunhes normal polarity magnetozone at 9.12 m ccsf (0.781 Ma), the top and bottom of the Jaramillo Subchron at 11.75 m (0.988 Ma) and 12.70 m ccsf (1.072 Ma), and the top and bottom of the Olduvai Subchron at 21.74 m (1.788 Ma) and 25.35 m ccsf (1.945 Ma), respectively. The deep-water Δ[CO32−] was based on a modern global SNW-Δ[CO32−] calibration for species Trilobatus sacculifer.
