This dataset contains the uncropped raw Western blot images and the corresponding processed PDF files used to generate Figure 3E and Figure 3J in Otani D, et al., “Activating transcription factor 6α governs stress-adaptive pancreatic β-cell mass expansion by coordinating proliferation and survival”.

Steps to reproduce
Cells were lysed in radioimmunoprecipitation assay (RIPA) buffer, and protein concentrations were determined using a BCA protein assay kit (Nacalai Tesque, Kyoto, Japan). 30 µg of protein were separated by SDS-PAGE and transferred to polyvinylidene fluoride membranes using a Trans-Blot Turbo Transfer System (Bio-Rad Laboratories, Hercules, CA, USA). Membranes were blocked with 5% nonfat dry milk, incubated with primary antibodies (1:1000) overnight and secondary antibodies (1:3000) for 1 h, and visualized using Amersham ECL Prime Western Blotting Detection Reagent (Cytiva, Marlborough, MA, USA). Images were acquired with ImageQuant LAS 4000-mini, and band intensities were quantified using ImageQuant TL software (GE Healthcare, Chicago, IL, USA).
