Description

Gastric cancer is the fifth common malignancy and the third leading cause of cancer-associated mortality worldwide. Therapeutic options for the treatment of GC remains inadequate, therefore understanding the underlying molecular mechanisms of the gastric carcinogenesis and identify sensitive biomarkers could be helpful for the prevention and treatment of the disease. Currently, the high-throughput sequencing techniques, in particular the RNA-seq method represents an advanced approach to evaluate the transcriptional changes between tumor and healthy samples. We performed an AmpliSeq Transcriptome analysis (RNA-seq) of 24 gastric tumors (and their matched normal tissues), according to the Lauren classification using the Ion S5 Sequencer with Torrent Suite Software v10.

Steps to reproduce

Sequencing was performed on an Ion S5™ Sequencer with Torrent Suite™ Software v10 (Thermo Fisher Scientific). The analyses were performed with a range of fold <−2 and >+2 and a p value < 0.05, using Transcriptome Analysis Console Software (version 4.0.2), certified for AmpliSeq analysis (Thermo-Fisher).
