The predictive value of CD8+, Foxp3+, and OX40+ tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes in non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer

The uploaded data was a raw data that was used in the study seeking to determine the potential predictive values of CD8+, Foxp3+, and OX40+ TILs for tumor recurrence in NMIBC. The data included clinicopathological information obtained from 110 patients with NMIBC, such as sex, age, tumor size, and tumor stage. Immunohistochemistry was used to evaluate the density of peritumoral CD8+, Foxp3+, and OX40+ TILs. The associations between clinicopathological characteristics and recurrence-free probability (RFP) were investigated. All statistical analyses were conducted using the IBM SPSS statistical software package (version 25.0) and GraphPad Prism v7.0. Our results showed: (a) A high density of CD8+ and OX40+ TILs, a low density of Foxp3+ TILs, and a high ratio of CD8+/ Foxp3+ immune cells were associated with a favorable prognosis. (b) The CD8+/ Foxp3+ immune cell ratio was an independent predictive factor for the recurrence rate in the multivariate analysis. (c) The patients with CD8high Foxp3low or CD8high OX40high TILs had a significantly prolonged RFP.
