Description

Selected events (Z <= 15km, Mw>=1.9) from the relocated earthquake catalogue of the Western Gulf of Corinth (Greece) for the period 2013-2014.

Steps to reproduce

The dataset has been derived from manually picked earthquakes in the region of the Western Gulf of Corinth (Greece), during 2013-2014, using waveforms from seismological stations of the Corinth Rift Laboratory network (CL, https://doi.org/10.15778/RESIF.CL) and local stations of the Hellenic Unified Seismological Network (http://eida.gein.noa.gr/). The earthquakes were located using HypoInverse (Klein, 2002), employing the velocity models of Rigo et al. (1996) and Kapetanidis et al. (2015). The catalogue was then relocated using HypoDD (Waldhauser, 2001) with both catalogue and cross-correlation data. Moment magnitudes were determined using a spectral fitting method (Kapetanidis et al., 2015). The completeness magnitude Mc=1.9 was determined using the maximum curvature method (Weimer & Weiss, 2000). A subset of the catalogue with Mw>=Mc=1.9 and focal depths Z<=15km was then selected for further statistical analysis.
