Description

Virtual reproduction of Bayreuth Festspielhaus (BF) through a geometrical model of the theatre, which includes the material properties found after acoustic calibration procedures. A whole virtual orchestra of about 110 elements and a loudspeaker orchestra (and soloist/choirs) was simulated in Odeon v.12. BRIRs (Binaural Room Impulse Responses) for 3 receivers in the stalls of BF were rendered with and without the audience. Measured BRIRs (in unoccupied condition) are also included (recorded in September 2014, custom dodecahedron as a sound source and Schoeps KFM6 as a binaural microphone).
