Exploring perspectives and experiences of dermatologists on challenges in treatment options for cutaneous leishmaniasis in Iraqi Kurdistan Region

This study aimed to understand the range and diversities of opinions and the practical experiences of dermatologists about the treatment of cutaneous leishmaniasis. This explorative study based on Q-methodology was conducted in Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan Region. The study involved a sample of 37 dermatologists. Forty statements were extracted that have covered various aspects of difficulties and uncertainties of treating cutaneous leishmaniasis. We asked the participants to rank-order the 40 statements into a distribution, ranging from “least agree” to “most agree." Data analysis involves by-person factor analysis using PQMethod 2.35.
