Description

The advancement of technologies has greatly impacted the ways how individuals live their life globally. For example, the availability of internet broadband and digital devices (i.e., computer, smartphone, etc.) has significantly changed our way of consuming products/services, work, learn, interact, and many more. Moreover, this situation has also indicated the importance of digitalisation in impacting one’s nation economy performance and its competitiveness. In view of the importance of digitalisation, this article presents data on the acceptance and readiness of digitalisation among Malaysian. The data was collected from the 827 respondents via random sampling approach and online questionnaire survey was employed. The data collection was conducted during the period on March to April 2021. The questionnaire includes questions related to demographic profile, acceptance, and readiness towards digitalisation. The data collected were then analysed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) statistical software. It is interesting to find from the data that majority of the respondents are aware about digitalisation and it is very likely for the respondents to accept it. It is anticipated that the current finding of the study can served as a guide for the policy makers and industry players in crafting related policies or strategies in promoting digitalisation among the Malaysian. Apart from that, the findings from the present data can also be of reference for the researchers who research on similar topic.
