Description

The author's questionnaire consisted of open- and closed-ended thematic questions. A number of questions were designed to determine the professional competences and criteria for interpreter success, as well as the causes of difficulties in the work. The main part of the questionnaire was aimed at assessing stress factors in the work of interpreters. The respondents were offered a ready-made list of stressors that had to be assessed on a scale from 1 to 10 in terms of the strength of their impact on the quality of translation services and well-being (where 1 means almost no impact and 10 means very strong), as well as suggesting their own variants of factors that were not included in the questionnaire.
