Description

Data file includes: - Fluorescence (PARAFAC component 1 intensity values) vs DOM (dissolved organic matter) concentration peat water solutions used in calcite growth experiment. -[DOM]aq concentration through time in experimental solutions. -Ca2+ concentrations through time in experimental solutions. -[DOM]s in calcite crystals. -Total calcite mass produced in experiments. -Partition coefficients (kd values) of DOMaq to DOMs in experiment and speleothems (flowstones) -Speleothem fluorescence values (from upper-most 3 mm of flowstone) and calculated DOM concentrations, compared to parent dripwater DOM values. -X-ray diffraction data of crystals produced in each beaker. -Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy of crystals produced in each beaker.
