Welfare of small ruminants in Ethiopian livestock markets: Observational and survey Data

Description

This dataset includes survey responses and observational data from three livestock markets in Ethiopia (Meki, Adama, and Addis Ababa) collected for a study on animal welfare and market practices. It covers handler demographics, transport duration, body condition scores, welfare indicators based on the Five Freedoms, and animal handling methods. Data were collected ethically with informed consent and anonymized for privacy.
