Description

Trunk muscles are very helpful to stipulate continuous effort throughout the day. They are able to slog when they are having sufficient endurance or else it can be able to cause low back pain if the endurance is inadequate. Through the assessment of trunk muscle performance one can easily predict the onset or episodes of low back pain. There is no such evidence which states the normative reference values of Dynamometric and Non-dynamometric tests with respect to different body composition. Dynamometric testing can be done with the help of Back leg chest dynamometer and modified Sorensons method is used for Non-Dynamometric testing of the trunk muscles. Muscle performance testing is very important to check the strength and endurance of trunk musculature so as to determine the deconditioning and plan various rehabilitation approaches accordingly. This study is a cross-sectional study in which male and female healthy participants having age of 19-40 years was recruited for the study. Sampling has been done by Stratified random sampling method. Informed consent was taken from the recruited participants prior to the participation in the study.
