The Lower and Middle Miocene lithostratigraphy of the northern Vienna Basin (Slovakia) – supporting data
Description
The dataset includes a single text file with a detailed description of all lithostratigraphic units for the Lower and Middle Miocene stratigraphic intervals, which were redefined in the accompanied manuscript, following the International Stratigraphic Guide. The information included in the file was gained trough a review of publications and manuscripts with the focus on geological mapping, petroleum, hydrogeological or geothermal prospection, or general basin analysis, stratigraphic, paleontological and geochronological research. This data file is a supplementary material for the accompanied manuscript, submitted in the Geological Society of London Special Publication entitled "The Miocene Extensional Pannonian Superbasin, Volume 1: Regional Geology" with the title of the contribution "Kováč et al.: The Miocene to Quaternary evolution of the Vienna Basin northeastern part: Geodynamics, eustasy, stratigraphy and depositional systems".
