Reflective practice: A self-reflection tool for ESOL teachers
Description
The spreadsheet presented here is a self-reflection tool specifically designed for pre-service and in-service English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) teachers. You will find 64 statements on the tab entitled 'Assessment of statements' to help you reflect on your teaching skills after a teaching observation or your teaching skills in general, and other professional development areas. Please grade each statement according to how you feel about your teaching skills and other professional development areas. Enter the number that corresponds to your assessment in the column entitled 'Assessment' according to the Likert scale below. 1 = Strongly disagree; 2 = Disagree; 3= Neither agree or disagree; 4= Agree; 5=Strongly agree Also, enter your name and date when you carry out the assessment in the boxes on the right hand side. Once you have assessed the 64 statements, refer to the tab entitled 'Results - DON'T MODIFY CELLS' to check your results and see a visual representation of professional development strengths and weaknesses.
