Meta-analysis on the relationship between sleep deprivation and memory in rodents
Description
The data file (cma format) includes 78 reports from 25 experimental studies that analysed the impact of sleep deprivation on memory in rodents. The following information was extracted from studies: -author of study; -data format; -means and standard deviations for the control group; -means and standard deviations for the sleep deprived group; -type of memory response; -memory test; -sleep deprivation duration; -learning trials for certain memory tasks; -sleep deprivation procedure; -mice species included in study; -age and sex of mice; -sample size; -effect direction; -effect size indicators. The general hypothesis is that sleep deprivation has a negative impact on memory performance in rodents. Overall, this hypothesis was supported by the existing data.
