Description

This dataset comprises metadata of 453 scientific publications on creativity in education within ASEAN countries, published between 2000 and May 2024. The data were retrieved from the Scopus database using a targeted search query focusing on creativity-related terms, education-related terms, and ASEAN country affiliations. This dataset formed the basis for a bibliometric analysis examining publication trends, influential authors and journals, collaborative networks, and thematic evolution in the field. The analysis employed Biblioshiny (R package) and VOSviewer software.

Steps to reproduce

Data Source and Retrieval: Bibliographic data were extracted from the Scopus database on November 14, 2024. The search query targeted publications on creativity in education within ASEAN countries from 2000 onwards. The query combined three keyword groups: Creativity terms: TITLE(("creativity" OR "creative thinking*" OR "divergent thinking*")) ASEAN affiliations: AFFILCOUNTRY(("Viet Nam" OR vietnam OR Thailand OR Singapore OR Malaysia OR Indonesia OR Myanmar OR Burma OR Philippines OR Laos OR Brunei OR Cambodia OR Timor)) Education terms: TITLE((educat* OR teach* OR learn* OR school* OR classroom* OR curriculum* OR training)) Screening and Selection: The initial search yielded 972 documents. These were screened following PRISMA guidelines: Limited to English-language journal articles. Articles were manually reviewed for relevance and completeness (e.g., author details). This resulted in a final dataset of 453 articles. (This dataset, typically in .csv or .xlsx format, comprises the bibliographic records of these 453 articles). Data Analysis: The dataset was analyzed using: Biblioshiny (R package for bibliometrix): For quantitative bibliometric analysis (publication trends, author/journal productivity, citation analysis). VOSviewer (version 1.6.18): For network visualization and clustering (collaboration networks, keyword co-occurrence for thematic analysis, with a minimum keyword occurrence of five).
