Description

The Growth Mindset Scale, the self-control scale, the automatic-thought scale and the Cognitive Fusion Questionnaire were employed. The complete scale is also provided in the dataset. The sample consists of junior high school students. We propose three hypotheses regarding the relationship between a growth mindset and cognitive fusion: (1) a growth mindset is negatively correlated with cognitive fusion; (2) Automatic thoughts mediate the relationship between growth mindset and cognitive fusion; (3) Impulse control mediates the relationship between growth mindset and cognitive fusion; and (4) Automatic thoughts-impulse control mediated the relationship between a growth mindset and cognitive fusion.
